Pubblicato dalla BERS il nuovo Transition Report per il 2012. Accanto al solito quadro socio-economico dei paesi in transizione dell'Est Europa allargata ai paesi ex URSS e ad alcuni paesi della sponda Sud-occidentale MED, quest'anno l'approfondimento dello studio è Integration across borders.
Dall'introduzione:
"This is the fourth consecutive Transition Report to be written in the shadow of an economic crisis in the transition region. The region is still vulnerable, both because of legacies from the previous crisis and pre-crisis periods – high non-performing loans and foreign currency-denominated debt – and its strong dependence on the eurozone. The Transition Report analyses the importance of economic integration, focusing specifically on the changing financial landscape in the eurozone single currency bloc and the creation of new pan-European institutions. It also assesses the role of trade integration."
